Here by popular demand more images of the Santa Pod race way. If you ever get the chance to go over and see a car show or a drag race, do so... its a lot of fun for the whole family.
Thanks Gerry. Great series. I love these older hot rods the best. Slingshots and Funny Cars are great and fast, but the older rods have the style, and have that 'I could build that' credibility.
The last picture is my best though. Nice contrast in the bright smokey background. The two marshalls in silhouette make the shot.
Thanks Mike ... personally I like the fifth one. To me it feels as if it was taken in the 50s or 60's . I waited for the kid to do something other then look forward ... the dad's shirt also makes the image.
I liked that one too, but something about the 3rd one is almost surreal, like the car is already speeding down the drag strip and just suddenly time slowed down for a pit stop but the car didn't? IDK, it's cool...
