I wanted to add a little splash of color to the blog today to brighten up another rainy day in London. Its been a great summer with mild weather so no complaints here. I like the three different expressions Im getting ... I need to work on my exposer I feel the images aren't moody enough. All these images were shot on Sat at different locations with in London.
Nice Gerry - love the color for variety, and I much prefer rainy day color to sunny day color, usually. Interesting shots. I love the woman behind the cafe window giving you that look, and the Mets baseball cap in the reflection :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd what's the story with the second image? What a great contrast.
Hey Mike,
ReplyDeleteyeah I am always wearing my Mets cap... I have about ten different ones and almost thirty different Mets T-shirts... =)
The second shot well... a photographer is showing his images on the South Bank and I waited till I saw someone interesting in front of that image to take a shot. I waited for a while ... I want to go back again this weekend and see if I can get better images. =)

ReplyDeleteNice series Gerry,
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed how nobody ever looks happy on a bus? They are just red boxes full of sad expressions. Good for photography though. lol
The artwork on the second shot looks almost like one of those holographic images.. very interesting. I like to see Joe public showing interest in art. Art is so important in our busy city lives.
ReplyDeleteBut the last image is the best. I'm not sure how she feels about her photograph being taken... but with her hand in her bag of chips, I don't think she is gonna do much about it. Love her face though.
ReplyDeleteColour has it's good points, doesn't it Gerry? lol
Hey Bill... You are right people do look sad or they just look like that when I take their photo =). I love color photography but for some reason London looks great in shades of gray.
ReplyDeleteShe was not happy about having her photo taken, but I know one of these days I am going to get a really good shot of someone looking at me through glass ... =) Im still waiting.
