8-31-11 Photo of the Day
I am starting to get comfortable asking people to let me take a quick street portrait of them... and to my surprise most of the time they say yes. My next step is to bring along a portable light.....

The annual Notting Hill Festival is a blast to experience. This was the second time I went and I recommend it to anyone who is going to be in the London area during the last weekend of Aug. I wanted to show the many different faces of this festival. I also wanted to try something new, which was use a flash on a sync cord... Bruce Gilden Im not but it was fun to try out. If you look at the eyes you can see the catch light and position I was holding the light.

Any guesses on where I shot this? It's a tough one so take your time. I wish the guy had his arms crossed but I still like the shot. Have a good weekend and I hope to see everyone on Monday morning.

I was walking down Finchley Road with my daughter and I spotted this little guy with his dog. I made four images, this was the first... he looked up for the final two but I liked this look, I would have liked the background to be empty but it was a busy morning and I wasn't going to get it.

I love reflections, you have to look hard to find a good one, but when you do its rewarding at least it is to me. This was shot over the weekend at Boroughs Market, there were tons of people around so to find a still puddle was amazing and to get such a good reflection was even better.

8-18-11 Photo of the Day
I like this shot because his eyes draw me into it. He is deep in thought ... looks worried about something. I sort of feel bad for taking the photo, but at the same time I want to know what is going on in his head.

Fashion style ..... not sure if I dig it or not, but it does become him. He looks like he should be in an Austin Powers movie.

8-16-11 Photo of the Day
I was in Hyde park the other day, by the Peter Pan statue and saw this guy walking towards me. He had an unusual way of walking, he would look down for two steps then look up for two steps and then repeat the same action over and over... I would have gotten dizzy if I tried walking that way. I have been trying to get people to look at me when I take their photos lately so I knew I was going to get his face which I loved. I put the camera up to my face and made sure he saw me do it, so on his third step he was looking right at me, click I got it =) The funny thing is now that I want people to look at me, they are not ...oh well.

8-15-11 Photo of the Day
I like this shot just because it makes me laugh =) While that one young lady is looking at me, it seems like the other lady and her monkey are interested in the first ladies sandwich. Shot at Boroughs market... as you can tell its one of my favorite places to go take photos. I wish I was a little further back to properly frame the lady with the sandwich.... I was using an 85 prime lens and didn't think fast enough to back up a little.

8-12-11 Photo of the Day
This was taken a few days ago as you can tell in the London tube. I was panning while a train was coming into the station.
I saw this guy walking when I was on one side of the street and he was on the other. I wanted to make an image of him so I crossed the street and caught up to him on the London Bridge. I could tell he wasn't all there by the way he was dressed, which is what caught my attention to begin with. When I caught up to him, as he was standing at attention facing the street. I raised my camera to take a shot and he came after me. I have been shooting on continues focus lately and it worked out the camera tracked his movement nicely. He was not threat to me, I stood my ground till he backed off and I went on my way.

I first noticed the uniform and her position and I liked how relaxed she looked. After I took this shot I smiled and she gave me a big smile and I felt good knowing I didn't piss off yet another person by taking their picture lol. The intense look on her face is due to the sun those causing her to squint. This was taken at Hyde park yesterday morning.

I saw this guy yesterday sitting in a McDonalds praying by the front window. I actually stood in his line of sight so I could catch him looking straight at me =) Most days I don't want people looking at me when I take there photos, yesterday I wanted to see their eyes.

By now most of you know I love cycling and all kinds of bikes, I saw this guy and this really unique looking bike so I struck up a conversation with him. It turns out he builds chopper type bikes, and is fascinated with the LA bike scene. I hope to run into him again and do a photo story on him and his bikes.

Im not sure what message she is trying to send so please help me out. Is she saying I am number one, or take a photo of my boyfriend, he is better looking, or throwing me a UK gang sign? It could be I am totally miss understanding her so please help me out =)
