More of Milan, I noticed a lot of fur coats in Milan and it really didn't matter what section of town you were in, because all the older women had them. I remember growing up in NYC and seeing a lot of women wearing fur coats, but I haven't seen it lately. Second image was at the main train station in Milan... I love panning but I think I do it too much =) and the last shot the sun sets produced awesome light, nice rich and warm just the way any photographer would like it.
I love photo 2. Everything is moving with exemption of the girls face and expression. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd photo is my favorite - everything is moving but her face is perfectly in focus. You do panning very well so don't stop - I love those photos! The first image shows just how cold it was - I think she was too cold to tell you that she didn't want her photo taken! She doesn't look happy at all. Yet another great job, Ger!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Gerry. The second one continues to show your skill at capturing motion while keeping the face in focus, still don't know how you do it :-) I like the lines and angles on the first shot providing a nice platform for the rather eccentric looking woman in fur, and the color in the last shot is amazing, that slate-blue and the yellow street car, nice.
ReplyDeleteLove this series of shots, Gerry. Really great!! These are all awesome shots. That said, I'm with your other fans.... the second shot is my favorite. Keep panning...
ReplyDeleteReally nice Milano images. The woman in the first shot has managed to avoid the usual high fashion look. (lol). Agreed about your panning skills... something I just can't do. The last shot has lovely crisp lines and colours.
ReplyDeletePanning is easy it just takes some practice and luck. The second shot the reason why her face is in focus is because she was holding it still as is her scarf and handbag the rest of her was moving so it shows movement.
ReplyDeleteBill your comment about the first lady cracked me up thanks lol. I have one more set of Milan shots then Im done =)
