12-30-11 Photo of the Day
I shot this a while ago, using the 85mm 1.8 lens at F4. I ask for permission to photograph them one of my rare moments that I ask before photographing anyone. I had walked past them and only then did I decide to take a photo so I doubled back and I had to ask other wise it would have been really creepy for them lol...the girl to the right of the image looks very nervous. By the way they told me it was okay to take the shot, so I did and I thanked them and I was on my way again.

12-28-11 Photo of the Day
Shot yesterday at Brick Lane, I thought I was going to get a lot of people shots but it turned out that Brick Lane was closed due to Boxing Day. It wasn't closed but most of the shops didn't open and it was like a ghost town. Spotted this mural and lucky me these three girls were walking past it, I would have liked all three to be looking at me, but one turned around to take a photo of the bird, and the other two kept walking..

12-27-11 Photo of the Day
I heart London =) I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did. My joy is being woken up by my daughter at 630am after of course going to bed around 2am myself and seeing the joy in her face as she tore into her gifts. If I could only have one thing in the world it would be that... I love being a parent =) anyway... going out today to Brick Lane and seeing if I can get some quality images. By the way if anyone is ever in London and wants to get together for a photo walk please let me know so we can get together.

12-23-11 Photo of the Day
I photographed this gentleman on Wed at Camden market... yes I know Im spending a lot of time there, its a great place to do your Christmas shopping and get in few shots. He works at a great little shop where you would expect to see Abby Sciuto from NCIS. You can buy skulls, upside down crosses and your very own casket. Looks can be very deceiving, this guy is the most down to earth and polite person you would ever meet and it was a pleasure talking to him. This will be the last post before Christmas so I wish everyone a Happy and Safe Christmas to you and your families from me and my family.

12-21-11 Photo of the Day
I spotted this guy about a half a block away and rushed to take this shot. Not as good as I wanted it to be but its a keeper... I asked if he was taking a break and he said "no just trying to escape from the people" Im happy he isn't my waiter =) I guess some of us have jobs or lives we want to escape from.
12-20-11 Photo of the Day
Fire starter.... this reminds me of the poster for that movie, staring Drew Barrymore. Windy day and the background helped to isolate her hair.

12-19-11 Photo of the Day
The painted lady..... she caught my eye when she stood at the corner and I wasn't fast enough to capture her at that point but I was fast enough to capture her before she left the corner. I love the name of the street as well ... it goes along with the color of her hat.

12-13-11 Photo of the Day
This was shot on Sunday at the Petticoat lane market in London, its a great little market that is open only on Sundays mostly knock off stuff but Im sure you can find a gem in there some where. I saw this little girl and she was in her own little world like most kids and I took a few images she never paid any attention to me. I love the calm look on her face...
12-12-11 Photo of the Day
This is the second time photographing this young lady. I first photographed her when I was doing portraits of athletes, you can see her images from a June blog of this year. This was taken in Camden market behind "The Cuban" bar and restaurant I loved the contrast of the blue doors and brick.

12-6-11 Photo of the Day
To me the look on her face is priceless. She is aware of me taking her photo of which Im sure she doesn't want her photo taken but I think the t-shirt on her left explains how she feels about me... I had to blur out one shirt because I thought it would be too disrespectful to show on my site.

11-28-11 Photo of the Day
I love her T-Shirt =) It makes you wonder is she a tough girl? By the look on her face I don't think I would want to mess with her.... Im sure she saw me taking her photo and the expression could have been brought on because of me.

11-15-11 Photo of the Day
Here is another kid photo =) I love his expression, his mom is talking to him yet he is more concern about the strange man behind his mom taking a photo, the funny thing is she never turned around and I was really close when I took this shot. I thought she would have turned around when she heard the shutter, this is one of three shots.

Happy Veterans Day.... I shot this about three years ago at Arlington National Cemetery, Im proud to say that my last duty station when I was in the Army was with the 3rd US Infantry "Old Guard" I didn't do the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I was on a burial team. It was an honor to have been selected to be part of this unit.

11-1-11 Photo of the Day
I shot this yesterday on my way home from the park. He looked lost then upset but after I took this shot I gave him one of my smiles and he returned the smile and I walked off. Older people fascinate me and scare the crap out of me, they have so much knowledge and worldly experience, yet most are forced to depend on others and I don't want to get to the point where I have to depend on others ......

I spotted Alfalfa on Oxford street ... and Mrs Crabtree in the background grrrr =) For those who are too young to remember I am talking about "The Little Rascals" I jest about this being Alfalfa, the guy that played "Alfalfa" Carl Switzer sadly was shot to death in an argument in 1959 at the age of 31.
