I spotted this guy about a half a block away and rushed to take this shot. Not as good as I wanted it to be but its a keeper... I asked if he was taking a break and he said "no just trying to escape from the people" Im happy he isn't my waiter =) I guess some of us have jobs or lives we want to escape from.
Its a good one Gerry. A crafty cigarette break. Nice contrasting background against his black attire.
ReplyDeleteThis is coincidental to a shot I am about to post of a similar situation.
Really nice posing with the grid literally on the wall. Great one Gerry.
ReplyDeleteLove the curves of his body in contrast with the grid of the backdrop. Reminds me of the "Learn to Draw" books from when I was a kid. Great catch. I like that you had some dialogue with him and have some back story to go along with the captured moment.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Gerry!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone... I enjoy talking to people after I take a shot or three. For the most part I don't want to talk to them before because then what I get is a forced pose or a pose and I don't want that. I want to get them in a natural state or as close to one. Before photography I use to be super shy, and at times that comes back, but for the most part I enjoy the connection I have with people.
