1-4-12 Photo of the Day

Yesterdays rain... Its London and it rains almost every day well at least its suppose too, but lately its been wonderful, mostly sunny skies and the occasional rain.  Yesterday it rained for about half the day but at one point the skies opened up and it poured.... I was in a doorway to a restaurant so I had limited view and I didn't want my camera to get soaked so I stayed put till it was over.  I was trying to capture the high winds and was hoping to get a collapsed umbrella but that didn't happen, I got a broken umbrella instead lol.  Oh an I've been using my 50mm 1.8 lens lately, not sure why but I am.

  3. Good timing with this shot, Gerry. You got the broken umbrella lady framed by the doorway as well as the movement of the car while the Tin Man looks on. All in the slanting rain - a lot going on.

  4. I agree with what George above, but I'd also like to say that I really like that "London Travel" sign ... like the person with the broken umbrella is looking to get out of the weather in more than just one way! Good shot, Ger!

  7. You've captured the slanting rain beautifully. I like the juxtaposition of the rain and the travel shop. Maybe that woman crossing the road was heading for the shop to book a sunny holiday? :)
