I had the pleasure of going to Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire England over the weekend, to photograph a drag race.  I had planned on uploading about ten images from the race but after taking a close look at this image I decided to just post this one.  This is drag racing a man his machine and the open track in front of him.  Let me know if you want to see more.

Hats for guys are back in style... I have one myself, the first day I wore it out, I was asked if I was from Australia and then I heard "Hey look Indiana Jones"  needless to say it was the last time I wore it out.

I was on the tube on Sat. looked to my left and saw this image, I quickly picked up my camera and fired a few shots... actually I could have taken my time and taken a hundred shots and they would have never noticed or moved.

Photo Walk

Last night I had the pleasure of going on an organized photo walk sponsored by The Photo school in London with a couple of good friends. I was getting ready to photograph bikers when this guy walks right in front of me, I focused on him and shot a couple of images and then refocused on the bikers. In my opinion to be a good photographer you have to be able to see images in your mind but be open to change it at a moments notice and accept what is in front of you.  On a side note doesn't this guy remind you of a young James Coburn?

I love making images like this... the guy is on the phone but it looks like he is posing like the little girl in the   photo.   The image was taken in Brighton on Sat. I wish I would have taken note as to who shot the photo of the little girl.

Last day of the Tour de France so here are two more images of cyclist.   Congratulations to Cadel Evans for winning this years Tour de France and I hope to post actual tour photos next year.  Both of these images are taken in London.

I know I had a bike shot yesterday but I love cycling and being the last week of the Tour de France I will be showing a few more bike shots =) I love the splash of color and that she is riding a fixie in a dress I think that is so cool.

A few mornings ago, I saw this guy riding his bike in Hyde park. What caught my eye wasn't only that he was riding without his hands on the handle bar but that he was wearing a jacket and looked cold.  It was a warm morning so he really looked out of place.

iPhone photos!!!  I love my iPhone and I find myself taking images with the iPhone that I normally would not take with my DSLR.  The last photo is of our dog Bear doing his best Winston Churchill imitation.

Shot on Oxford St. I was hoping to get a shot of him looking at people walking by, but instead he heard my shutter and turned and looked at me.  I took this shot and kept walking... not what I really wanted but not too bad either.

Speakers Corner, located in Hyde park just behind Marble Arch. If you have something to say and have a step ladder  then you can go to Speakers Corner and say your piece or just stand there like this last guy is doing.  Its entertaining to see how the speakers can get the crowd in an up roar over nothing. It's a fun place to go on a Sunday afternoon.

I was walking behind this person and I noticed the shadow on the ground... I liked the shape so I quickly walked in front of her and snapped a quick shot, this was taken on Finchely Road.

I walked around Hyde Park today, and from the corner of my eye I saw this guy doing Tai Chi. It wasn't an optimal location to shoot in.  He blended into the background ... but I liked it and shot it anyway.

What a difference a day makes, today was still another one of those days in which it was hard to make a photo, the difference is this was the very last image I shot today.  Walking home from dinner I spotted this guy on Fitzjohn's ave just looking at the sky and enjoying the sun hitting his face.

Today was a difficult shooting day for me, it seems no matter how hard or how much I let go, I just couldn't make an image anywhere.  This was one of the first images I shot this morning, and what attracted me was the flow of the garment, I wish I had more to give but this is it.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day....
